World Cup Links is LinkyGrid's daily football ring. The board shows players such as Kylian Mbappé, Eden Hazard and Gianluigi Buffon, and you draw a line between every pair who played with or against each other in a World Cup match.
About LinkyGrid World Cup Links
LinkyGrid is a small site of daily connection puzzles, with five fresh modes every day built on countries, films, footballers and Wikipedia topics. World Cup Links lays out a ring of player cards, each with a nation, and a counter shows how many hidden links there are. Press one player and drag to another to propose that they shared a World Cup pitch, as team-mates or opponents. A correct link stays drawn, a wrong one counts as a miss, and hints and a timer are there if you want them.
Each puzzle has an Easy and a Hard version, the same for every player that day, with a new set based on your browser's time zone. You can play as a guest; signing in adds statistics, a history and a streak for the leaderboard.
The sister modes on the same site use Wikipedia articles, countries, films and World Cup players, so a player who likes one usually finds another to try next.
