Wordloop

A Wordloop puzzle: segments PAT, S and ENT placed on a circle, with ER and ODE waiting below

Wordloop is a daily word puzzle played on a circle. You place word segments, such as PAT, S, ENT, ER and ODE, into slots around a loop so that each segment joins the next to form a word, all the way round. A clock times your solve.

About Wordloop

Wordloop gives you a set of short word segments and a ring of empty slots. The aim is to arrange the segments in a circular loop so that every pair of neighbours joins into a real word, with the last segment linking back to the first.

In the tutorial example, segments such as PAT, S, ENT, ER and ODE are placed around the circle, and a rotate button turns the loop to help you see the joins. A timer counts your solve, and statistics track your results.

There is a new loop every day, the same for every player, free in the browser.

It suits players who like word chains and anagram-style puzzles, and want something quick.

How to play Wordloop

  1. Look at the day's word segments.
  2. Drag a segment into a slot on the loop.
  3. Place segments so each neighbouring pair forms a word.
  4. Use Rotate to see the joins from another angle.
  5. Close the loop so the last segment links back to the first.

Tips

  • Start with segments that can only go at the start or end of a word.
  • Short segments like S fit many joins; place them last.
  • Read each join aloud to check it is a real word.
