Unlabeled

Every day: One numbered puzzle a day for everyone (Unlabeled #9 on 5 October): four charts of real open data with their axis labels removed, to put back from ten labels including two decoys, in four tries. New puzzle: Once a day, with a new numbered puzzle.

Unlabeled is a daily chart puzzle. Four graphs made from real open data have had their x and y axis labels removed, and you match all eight from a list of ten that includes two decoys. Correct labels lock after each check, and you get four tries.
About Unlabeled
Unlabeled gives you four charts, one at a time: line charts, bar charts and other shapes, each with its numbers on the axes but no words. Your job is to work out what each chart measures. You tap an empty slot above or below a chart and choose a label from the list of ten. The numbers are your clues: an axis running from 1900 to 2025 is almost certainly Year, and the size and shape of the data tell you the rest.
Once all eight axes have a label you press Check. Correct labels turn green and lock in place; wrong ones come back to the list, and the game tells you how many you have right and how many tries remain. You have four tries in all, and two of the ten labels are decoys that fit no axis.
Every puzzle is made from open data with its source named, and an archive and a sources page list past puzzles and where their data came from. It suits players who like reading graphs, and teaches you a little about the world each day.

Tips
- Label the easy axes first, usually years or percentages, to cut down the list.
- Check the scale: a maximum of 100 suggests a percentage, very large numbers suggest money or population.
- Look at the shape: steady growth, a peak or a drop each fits some labels better than others.
- Remember two labels are decoys, so do not force every label onto a chart.
