Chartdle
Name the stock, future or currency pair from its price chart in six guesses.
Every day: One mystery price chart a day in each of three modes, futures, stocks and forex, the same for every player: name the ticker in six guesses. New puzzle: Midnight UTC, as the game's help says; on Sundays and Mondays it keeps showing Friday's chart until Tuesday.

Chartdle shows a price chart with the name hidden and asks which market it is. Each guess is compared with the answer on category, asset type, market cap, daily volume and region. There is a separate daily chart for futures, stocks and forex.
About Chartdle
Chartdle is a daily guessing game for people who follow the markets. Each day it draws a chart from the previous trading session and hides the symbol. You search by ticker or company name and have six tries to find it.
Every guess earns five hints: the category (such as equity indices, metals, energy or interest rates), the asset type (future, stock or currency), the market cap and the daily volume, each with an arrow saying whether the answer is higher or lower, and the region. A guess box turns yellow when the category matches, and green for the exact symbol.
The game has three modes you can switch between at any time. Futures covers contracts such as crude oil, gold, the Nasdaq 100 and Treasury notes; Stocks covers listed companies; Forex covers currency pairs. Each mode has its own symbol each day, so there are three puzzles to play.
Since the charts follow trading days, there is no new chart over the weekend: on Sundays and Mondays the game shows Friday's chart until Tuesday. Past days can be replayed from the archive. It suits traders and anyone who reads the business pages.
How to play Chartdle
- Open Chartdle and pick Futures, Stocks or Forex.
- Study the day's price chart.
- Search for a ticker or company name and submit it as a guess.
- Read the five hints: category, asset type, market cap and daily volume with higher or lower arrows, and region.
- Use the hints to narrow the field and guess again, up to six times.
- Share your score, then try the other two modes.
Tips
- Open with a large, well-known symbol in a busy category; the market cap and volume arrows then do more work.
- A yellow box means the category is right: stay in that sector.
- Look at the chart's shape for clues, such as the steady drift of a bond or the spikes of an energy contract.
- Over the weekend the chart is Friday's, so a Monday visit may be a puzzle you have already played.
