Traindle
From the day's starting word, chain compound words and phrases for 60 seconds to build the longest train.
Every day: A new starting word every day, the same for everyone, to build a chain from in 60 seconds. New puzzle: Once a day.

Traindle starts you with one word and a 60-second timer. Each word you add must form a familiar phrase or compound with the one before it, like peanut butter and then butter knife. Build the longest chain you can, reach the target length, and compare your score on the leaderboard.
About Traindle
Traindle is a fast daily word game in the browser, credited to Tim Shur. Its idea is the train of thought: one word leads to the next through a phrase everyone knows, and the chain keeps going for as long as you can think of links.
Each day there is a new starting word. You have 60 seconds. You type a word that makes a familiar pairing with the current one, for example car then door (car door), then door then bell (doorbell), and so on. Every accepted word becomes the new end of the train and the next link has to start from it.
Hints and skips are free, so a dead end does not end your run. The aim is to reach the day's target length, and your final chain becomes a score you can share and compare on the leaderboard. There is also a short tutorial mode for first-time players.
It suits players who like quick association games and compound-word puzzles, and it takes only a minute or two a day.
How to play Traindle
- Open Traindle and look at the day's starting word.
- Type a word that makes a familiar phrase or compound with it, such as peanut then butter.
- Continue from your new word, such as butter then knife.
- Use a free hint or skip if you get stuck.
- Keep chaining until the 60 seconds run out and try to reach the target length.
Tips
- Go for short, common words like back, out or line; they join with many others.
- Do not spend long on one link; a skip is free and the clock is not.
- Think in both directions: a word can be the first or the second half of the next pair.
