Threepeat on OneLook: three word endings (OPLE, NDULUM, RVERSE) waiting for the same two starting letters, with the date menu set to October 2, 2026

Threepeat is a free daily word game from the OneLook dictionary site. Each of its three rounds shows three word endings, and you type the single string of letters that turns all three into real words. Your score is your total time, and the result tells you how you compare with that day's other players.

About Threepeat

Threepeat is one of the word games on OneLook, the long-running dictionary and word-finding site. Each day has one game, the same for everyone, and a drop-down menu lists past days by date so you can catch up on ones you missed.

A game has three rounds. In each round you see three words with their first few letters missing; the missing part is the same for all three. You type that shared beginning, letter by letter, and the round ends when it fits all three words. Some games switch to a definition mode where the endings are hidden and you work from meanings.

The clock runs through all three rounds. If you are stuck you can ask for a hint, which reveals a letter but adds 60 seconds to your time and counts as an extra try. A perfect game is three rounds with no mistakes or hints, and the results screen shows what share of that day's players you beat.

Threepeat suits players who like spotting word patterns quickly, and it pairs well with OneLook's other daily games such as Cadgy. It is free in the browser with ads and no account.

How to play Threepeat

  1. Open onelook.com/threepeat; today's date is selected.
  2. Look at the three word endings in the first round.
  3. Type the beginning that makes all three into real words.
  4. Use a hint only if you must; it reveals a letter and adds 60 seconds.
  5. Finish all three rounds and compare your time with other players.

Tips

  • Say each ending aloud and think of common starts like CON, PRE or STR.
  • The shortest ending often limits the possibilities the most.
  • A hint costs a full minute, so a few seconds more thought is usually cheaper.
