The Daily Puzzle opens on a front page that looks like a printed newspaper, with the day's date under the masthead, your current streak and a tile for each of today's puzzles. Tick them off one by one; a finished puzzle gets a check mark on the front page.

The set draws on a long list of puzzle types. The ones on the front page in the store pictures are Triads (find patterns among shapes), Circuits (connect dots into a circuit), Honeycomb (make words from seven letters), Word Wheel, a coloured Nonogram that reveals a picture, Perfect Fit (fit every piece into the frame), Word Search, Letter Grid and a bonus puzzle. Sudoku, Cryptogram, Nine Letter and Tangram also appear. Besides the daily edition, the app holds an archive of more than 12,000 puzzles.

Typosaurus released the app in 2022 for iPhone and iPad, and it is also on Google Play. It plays in English, Danish, German, Spanish, French and Swedish. It suits players who want the variety of a newspaper's puzzle page in one daily sitting.

How to play The Daily Puzzle (Typosaurus Games)

1. Open the app to today's front page, dated under the masthead.
2. Tap any puzzle tile, such as Nonogram or Word Wheel, to play it.
3. Solve it by that puzzle's rules; the help button inside each puzzle explains them.
4. Return to the front page, where solved puzzles are ticked, and work through the rest.
5. Come back the next day for a new edition and to grow your streak.

• Start with the quick word puzzles, then give the nonogram the most time: it is usually the biggest grid of the day.
• Hints cost coins, which you earn by solving, so keep them for the puzzle that stalls you.
