Sudorkle
Rate itGuess each row of the day's sudoku for Wordle-style clues, then solve it.
Every day: One hidden sudoku a day, the same for everyone: guess each of its nine rows to earn Wordle-style clues, then solve the grid against the clock. New puzzle: Once a day.

Sudorkle mixes Wordle and sudoku. You first guess every row of the hidden grid, each guess using the digits 1 to 9 once, and the colours tell you which digits sit in the right cell and which are near. Then you use those clues to solve the sudoku, with a timer running and hints that cost time.
About Sudorkle
Sudorkle makes you both setter and solver of the day's sudoku. The grid starts empty. Row by row, you type a guess containing each digit from 1 to 9 exactly once and submit it.
Each digit then lights up. Green means it is in the correct cell. Yellow means it belongs in either the correct row or the correct column of that 3x3 box, but not in that cell. Grey means it is in neither the row nor the column of the box. The timer starts when you guess the first row.
Once all nine rows are guessed, the clues stay on the board and you solve the real sudoku from them, pencilling in candidates as small digits if you like. Up to four hints are available, each adding a time penalty, and undo and redo cover your entries but not clues or hints. Pressing the check button stops the timer, and a statistics page keeps your best and average results. A countdown shows when the next Sudorkle arrives.
It suits sudoku solvers who want a different opening each day, and Wordle players curious to see colour feedback applied to a grid of numbers.
How to play Sudorkle
- Open Sudorkle and type a guess for the first row using each digit 1 to 9 once.
- Submit it and read the colours: green is the right cell, yellow is the right row or column of that box, grey is neither.
- Guess all nine rows the same way; the timer starts with your first guess.
- Use the clues to solve the sudoku, pencilling in candidates where you need to.
- Check your solution to stop the timer; hints help but add a time penalty.

Tips
- Spend your row guesses testing digit placements, not just filling the row.
- Combine yellow clues from neighbouring rows to narrow each box quickly.
- Use pencil marks freely: clues cannot be undone, but entries can.
