Sort and Solve
Rate itSort 16 words into four hidden groups before you run out of lives.
Every day: The Daily puzzle on the home screen, dated each day: 16 words in four hidden groups of four, picked from a fixed list by the date so every player gets the same board, with four lives, a streak and a result to share. New puzzle: At midnight on your device's clock (the daily puzzle is picked by the local date).

Sort & Solve is a free word puzzle in the style of Connections, playable in the browser on itch.io and as an iOS app. Each day there is a new board of 16 words to sort into four hidden groups of four, with four wrong guesses allowed. Thirty free puzzles, a daily archive and themed packs sit beside it.
About Sort and Solve
Sort & Solve is a word grouping game by TheBeesKnees13, listed on itch.io as Sort and Solve and also available as an iOS app. It follows the Connections pattern: a board of 16 words hides four categories of four words each, and you have to work out what links them.
You tap four words and press Submit. A correct group locks into a coloured bar with its category name, such as shades of blue or ancient civilizations; a wrong guess costs one of your four lives. The page says the boards are built to mislead, with words that seem to belong together acting as traps, and each puzzle rises in difficulty from a plain first group to a hard fourth one, which might be words hiding a country or a compound word pattern. Shuffle and Deselect buttons help you see the board fresh, and hints are available.
The Daily puzzle sits at the top of the home screen with today's date, and the game picks it from the date, so everyone gets the same board that day. Solving it keeps a streak going, and the results screen shows your time, mistakes and hints with a button to share. A Daily archive lets you go back to past daily puzzles.
Besides the daily board there are 30 free puzzles to play at any time. The itch.io page lists six themed packs on iOS, among them NFL, pop culture, science and nature, rap and hip hop, rock and 90s movies, with 50 puzzles each.

Tips
- Expect traps: if five or more words seem to fit one group, one of them belongs somewhere else.
- Find the hardest-looking group last; once three groups are out, the fourth is what remains.
- Look for hidden patterns as well as meanings, such as a word inside a word or names that double as brands.
- Use Shuffle when the layout keeps pulling you toward the same wrong set.
