WordBridge (Zalize)
Sort 16 words into four groups, then name the hidden theme that bridges them.
Every day: One grid of 16 words a day, the same for every player worldwide: sort them into four groups of four, then take one guess at the hidden fifth theme that runs through all four groups. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

WordBridge is a free daily word grouping puzzle from Zalize Daily Games. You sort 16 words into four groups of four with up to four mistakes, and once the grid is solved you get one guess at a secret fifth theme that links every group. Past puzzles stay playable in a free archive.
About WordBridge (Zalize)
WordBridge follows the format made familiar by Connections: a grid of 16 words that hides four groups of four, each sharing something in common. You pick four words you think belong together and submit them. A wrong group costs one of your four mistakes, and when three of your four picks are right the game tells you that you are one away.
The groups are colour coded by difficulty, from yellow for the most direct link through green and blue to purple for the trickiest. What sets WordBridge apart is the round that follows the grid. Every puzzle has a bridge, a fifth theme that ties all four groups together, and after you clear the board you get a single guess at it. Getting it right adds a link symbol to the emoji grid you can share.
A new puzzle goes up at midnight UTC and everyone in the world plays the same one; an in-game countdown shows the time left in your own time zone. Streaks and statistics are kept on your device with no account. The archive lets you play every earlier puzzle as practice, though only the day's puzzle counts toward your streak. WordBridge is one of the games on daily.zalize.com, alongside the site's map, number and photo dailies.
How to play WordBridge (Zalize)
- Open WordBridge and look over the day's 16 words.
- Select four words you think share a theme and press Submit.
- Use Shuffle to rearrange the grid when you are stuck; you can make four mistakes before the game ends.
- Solve all four groups to unlock the bridge round.
- Type one guess at the hidden theme connecting the four groups, then share your emoji grid.
Tips
- Look for words that could fit more than one group before you commit; the decoys are usually there on purpose.
- Solve the group you are surest of first so fewer words are left to confuse the harder ones.
- Keep the bridge in mind as you go: once two or three group themes are clear, the link between them often shows.
