Skill Check is a browser trivia game about video games built around cards. Each day brings a new theme for everyone, and you slot cartridge cards into a console to start trivia rounds, scoring for correct and quick answers. Cards from the same franchise combine into score multipliers, and each stage has a target to reach before the next, harder one.

About Skill Check

Skill Check is a free daily trivia card game for people who know their games. Its deck holds 1,594 illustrated cards from 86 gaming universes, from Pokémon and Minecraft to Dark Souls and Yu-Gi-Oh.

A new theme arrives at midnight UTC, and the day's run is the same for every player, with scores posted to a global leaderboard. You draw a hand of cartridge cards, drag one into the console, and answer the trivia questions that card generates; correct and fast answers score the most.

The run is split into stages with rising targets. Cards from the same franchise or theme unlock multipliers, so part of the game is choosing which cartridges to play together. Every card you answer correctly is added to a museum collection, and after the daily you get three practice replays.

The daily is free with ads and can be played as a guest; a free account (Google, Discord or email) saves scores and progress. A pay-what-you-want archive upgrade from £1 unlocks past themes, unlimited replays and removes ads. It suits gamers who enjoy trivia with a bit of deck strategy.
