About SEKAIdle

SEKAIdle is a browser game for players of Project SEKAI: Colorful Stage, the rhythm game with Hatsune Miku and the other virtual singers. It is a fan project: the site says it is not affiliated with Colorful Palette, SEGA or Crypton Future Media, and it is supported through Ko-fi.

Every day the site publishes one numbered set, and a countdown on the front page shows how long until the next one at midnight UTC. The set has four rounds. In Guess the Character a blurred portrait is shown and you type a character's name. Guess the Card asks you to identify one of the game's cards. Guess the Song plays a clip of a song from the game. Guess the Chart plays the falling notes of a song's chart on a lane highway; you pick the song, its difficulty (Hard, Expert, Master or Append) and its play level, and you can spend points from your score on hints.

Each round gives you six tries, shown as a row of bars above the board. Past sets can be played from the archive, and Marathon mode lets you keep guessing beyond the daily rounds. You can sign in or create an account, and there is a leaderboard of the top 100 active players.

It suits people who already play Project SEKAI and know its units, card art and song list well. The chart round in particular asks for something few other game -dles do: knowing songs by how their notes fall.

How to play SEKAIdle

1. Open sekaidle.app and pick one of the four daily rounds: Character, Card, Song or Chart.
2. In the Character round, look at the blurred portrait and type the name of the Project SEKAI character you think it is, then press Submit Guess.
3. In the Song round, play the clip and search for the song's title.
4. In the Chart round, watch the notes play on the highway, then choose the song, its difficulty and its play level before you submit.
5. Use your six tries in each round; a wrong guess brings you to the next try.
6. Come back after midnight UTC for the next numbered set, or play earlier sets from the archive.

Tips

• In the Chart round, the difficulty and play level count too, so watch how dense the notes are before you guess the level.
• Hints in the Chart round cost points from your score, so try a guess or two first if you have a good idea.
• Play the Character round first: it is often the quickest of the four.
