About Scrandle

Scrandle is a browser game about stadium food, or scran. Each round puts two dishes side by side: a photo, a short description, the club that sells it and the price. You pick the one you think people rated higher. The ratings come from social media posts about football food and, for newer items, from the votes of Scrandle players.

The daily game is ten match-ups, the same set for every player, and it resets at midnight GMT. Your result is a score out of 10, which you can copy and share with the date. After the game you can look back at each match-up, see how the community scored that day, and sometimes read a note from the developer about the day’s food.

Beyond the daily there is a practice mode for unlimited games, an Evil Mode switch that makes match-ups harder, and extra daily modes. Super Scrandle has you wager points on each pick, with rising difficulty and cards to swap out a dish. Meal Deal shows sixteen items and asks you to pick three that look the most expensive. You can also replay earlier days and switch the prices into other currencies.

It suits football fans, food fans and anyone who likes a quick higher-or-lower guess with something to argue about afterwards.

How to play Scrandle

1. Open Scrandle and press Daily.
2. Look at the two dishes: photo, description, club and price.
3. Pick the one you think people rated higher.
4. See both ratings, then move to the next match-up.
5. After ten rounds, share your score out of 10.

Tips

• Price is shown on each card, but a pricey dish is not always the better rated one.
• Fans tend to judge on how the food looks in the photo, so read the picture as much as the name.
• Use practice mode to learn which kinds of dishes do well before your daily game.
• Turn on Evil Mode in Options only once the normal daily feels easy.
