CostcoGuessr is a daily price guessing game built on products from Costco warehouses in many countries. The daily set has ten rounds, and in each one you see two items with their country of origin and choose the more expensive one.

About CostcoGuessr

CostcoGuessr is an unofficial fan game about Costco prices. Its product pool comes from Costco stores in several countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, Sweden and Iceland, with each item shown with its photo, name and a flag for its origin.

The daily game is a set of ten rounds tied to the date, so every player gets the same pairs. In each round two products appear side by side and you pick the one with the higher price, converted to US dollars for comparison. Answers are marked right or wrong straight away, a progress bar fills in as you go, and at the end you get a score out of ten to share.

A practice mode deals fresh random pairs for as long as you like, and a countdown on the menu shows when the next daily starts.

It suits Costco regulars, bargain hunters and anyone curious about what bulk goods cost in other countries.

How to play CostcoGuessr

  1. Press Daily on the menu.
  2. Look at the two products, their pack sizes and countries.
  3. Tap the one you think costs more.
  4. Play all ten rounds and share your score; use Practice for more rounds.

Tips

  • Check pack sizes: a huge multipack can beat a single luxury item.
  • Prices in Iceland, South Korea and Taiwan can be much higher than US prices for the same kind of product.
  • Fresh luxury foods such as truffles or premium meat are often the pricier pick.
  • Electronics and furniture usually beat groceries, however large the grocery pack.
