Higher Lower's daily challenge is a single run of comparisons where you decide whether the next item's value is higher or lower than the current one. Everyone gets the same items in the same order, and one wrong call ends the run. On the day we checked, the topic was US house prices, with photos and details of each home.
About Higher Lower
Higher Lower is a website of comparison games built on real data, from Spotify streams and box office takings to player salaries and country populations. Beside its open-ended games and a versus mode for groups, it runs a daily challenge that gives every player the same set of items each day.
The daily shows one item with its value and a second item with the value hidden, and you guess whether the hidden one is higher or lower. A right answer moves the new item into the known slot and brings in the next, for up to 19 rounds, while a wrong answer ends your run with your score. When we looked, the set was homes for sale in US cities, each with photos, floor area, house type and asking price. You get one go per day, and the challenge refreshes at midnight UTC.
Because everyone sees the same comparisons, scores can be shared and compared fairly, which the endless modes cannot offer. It suits people who like quick estimation games and trivia with numbers, and an optional free account adds your scores to the site's leaderboard.
How to play Higher Lower
- Open the daily challenge and look at the current item and its value.
- Study the second item, whose value is hidden.
- Press Higher or Lower to say how its value compares.
- Keep going while you are right; each correct guess scores a point and brings in a new item.
- A wrong guess ends the run; share your score and come back after midnight UTC.
Tips
- Use every detail shown, such as location, size and type for houses, not just your first impression.
- When two values look close, think about which detail matters most for that topic.
- You only get one run per day, so take your time on each choice.
