About Puzzlit

Puzzlit, subtitled Puzzles Made Social, is an iOS app from the small team of the same name, released on the App Store in August 2024. It gathers more than ten kinds of short puzzles under one roof and brings out a fresh set each day at midnight Eastern time, the same for every player.

The word puzzles include ChainIt, where you guess the next word in an association chain (broken, heart, beat...), EmoteIt, where a row of emojis hides a word or phrase, SpellIt, CrossIt (a simple crossword), FindIt (hidden words from their first letters) and WordIt (find 3, 4 and 5 letter words in a 4x4 grid). The logic side has ConnectIt pipes, BoxIt shapes, SortIt rings, PairIt, the DecryptIt symbol code and FloodIt colour fills.

What sets it apart is the social layer. After each puzzle your score and time go to a feed where friends see how you did and comment, a daily leaderboard ranks players by points, and a profile keeps your streak, achievements and a Puzzlit IQ rating. A live mode where players compete for cash prizes also appears in the store pictures.

The app is free with ads. A Premium subscription, monthly or yearly, adds past puzzles, extra daily puzzles, replays, more statistics and no ads. It suits players who like a mixed daily set and want to see their friends' results next to their own.

How to play Puzzlit

1. Open Puzzlit after midnight Eastern time to see the day's puzzles.
2. Pick a puzzle, such as ChainIt or WordIt, and read its short rules.
3. Solve it as quickly and cleanly as you can; time and hints count against your score.
4. Your result posts to the feed, where friends can see it and comment.
5. Work through the rest of the set to climb the day's leaderboard and keep your streak.

• In ChainIt each word links to the one before and the one after, so try the phrase both ways.
• Hints cost points; save them for the puzzle you are stuck on longest.
• Follow a few friends early: the feed and leaderboard are the point of the app.
