Pokémon Connections
Rate itSort 16 Pokémon into four hidden groups of four, with as many tries as you need.
Every day: One Daily board a day: 16 Pokémon in four hidden groups, the same for everyone. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Pokémon Connections is a free fan-made daily puzzle in the style of NYT Connections. Each day at midnight UTC a new board of 16 Pokémon appears, hiding four groups of four drawn from all nine generations. Attempts are unlimited, so the challenge is in the decoys rather than in running out of lives.
About Pokémon Connections
Pokémon Connections takes the grouping puzzle made popular by NYT Connections and fills the board with Pokémon. Each day there are 16 of them, and four hidden categories link them in fours; the categories can come from any of the nine generations of the games.
You pick four Pokémon you think belong together and submit them. Unlike the newspaper game there is no limit on wrong attempts, so you can keep trying until all four groups are found. Groups are coloured by difficulty, yellow for the easiest, then green and blue, with purple the trickiest and often full of decoys, since some Pokémon look as if they fit more than one group.
The Daily resets at midnight UTC and is the same for everyone. Wins count toward a Monday-to-Sunday weekly leaderboard, with separate streak and level boards, and an optional Google sign-in keeps your progress across devices. An Unlimited mode gives practice boards, players can make and share their own puzzles, and the same site runs daily Pokémon Wordle, silhouette and riddle games. It is fan-made and not affiliated with Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Game Freak or The New York Times.

Tips
