The Pangramble board for 6 October 2026: the required words Confident, Eye and Step above a score of 0, an empty sentence box and a keyboard counting how many times each letter is used

Pangramble gives everyone the same three words each day. You write a sentence that uses them and contains every letter of the alphabet, and your score is its length in letters: the shorter, the better. A letter-count keyboard shows which letters you have used twice, and a global leaderboard shows what other players managed.

About Pangramble

Pangramble is a writing puzzle built on the pangram, the kind of sentence that uses all 26 letters, like the one about the quick brown fox. Each day it hands every player the same three words, and you must fit them into a sentence that makes grammatical sense and still contains every letter of the alphabet.

The score is the number of letters in your sentence, not counting spaces and punctuation, so lower is better and 26 is the perfect score where each letter appears once. On-screen keys count how many times you have used each letter, which shows at a glance where the waste is: three Es and two Ts mean there is room to cut. There is no single right answer; any sentence with the three words and all the letters counts.

When you finish you get a share message with your pangram and score, and a global leaderboard lists the shortest pangrams of the week. A stats screen keeps your own top ten, your streak and charts of the words and letters you lean on.

It suits people who like word play with an open answer, and who enjoy shaving a letter or two off a sentence more than guessing a hidden word. Rare letters like J, Q, X and Z decide most days.

How to play Pangramble

  1. Read the day's three required words at the top of the screen.
  2. Type a sentence that uses all three words and makes grammatical sense.
  3. Watch the counts on the keyboard: every letter must reach at least one.
  4. Cut letters that appear more than once to bring your score down.
  5. Press Enter when all 26 letters and the three words are in, then share your score or check the leaderboard.

Tips

  • Plan for J, Q, X and Z first: short words like JUST, QUICK, BOX and ZEN carry them cheaply.
  • Pick the shortest grammatical form of each required word's neighbours; articles like A cost one letter.
  • Look at the leaderboard after you finish for ideas on fitting awkward letters.
