Palavreado is a daily Portuguese word-finding game from Público. You get a handful of letters and build words of at least four letters, always including the green letter. Find ten words to win, then keep going for a higher score.
About Palavreado (Público)
Palavreado is a daily word game on the Público newspaper's games page, in Portuguese, in the style of a spelling bee.
Each day shows a set of letters, one of them in green. You form words of four letters or more, and every word must contain the green letter. Letters can be used more than once. Plurals, conjugated verbs, acronyms, proper nouns and compound words are not allowed, and spelling follows the 1990 orthographic agreement.
To win you need ten words, but you can carry on afterwards to raise your score. If you are stuck there is an option to show words. Puzzles are dated and earlier days are in the archive.
Público keeps its daily games for registered readers: a free account is enough, and the page asks you to register or sign in before you play.
It suits Portuguese speakers who enjoy spelling bee style puzzles.
