Palavra do Dia (UOL)
Three Portuguese words a day, each guessed Wordle-style in six tries, from Brazilian portal UOL.
Every day: Three related Portuguese five-letter words, set for the date and the same for every player, played as three phases from easier to harder. New puzzle: Midnight local time.

Palavra do Dia is UOL's daily word game in Portuguese. Each day there are three five-letter words, played as three phases from easier to harder, and each must be found in at most six guesses with coloured tiles as clues.
About Palavra do Dia (UOL)
Palavra do Dia is part of UOL Jogos, the games section of the Brazilian portal UOL. UOL describes it as a game in the style of Termo and Wordle, and the day's words are loaded from UOL's own servers by date, so everyone gets the same set.
A day has three phases, each with a different hidden word, ordered from easiest to hardest; on recent days the three words were linked by meaning (for example Idoso, Idade and Velho). In each phase you have at most six guesses: a green tile means the letter is in the right place, yellow means it is in the word but elsewhere, and grey means it is not in the word.
What sets it apart from a plain Wordle clone is the scoring: each phase is worth 300 points, every wrong guess costs 50, and a perfect day scores 900. The second phase onward is offered to UOL subscribers, with a subscription prompt for other players, so non-subscribers can expect to play the first word. It suits Portuguese speakers who like Termo and want a longer daily session with a score to beat.
How to play Palavra do Dia (UOL)
- Type a five-letter Portuguese word and submit it.
- Read the tiles: green is the right letter in the right place, yellow is in the word but elsewhere, grey is not in the word.
- Find the word within six guesses to finish the phase and move on to the next, harder word.
- Try to clear all three phases with as few wrong guesses as possible to keep your score close to 900.
Tips
- The three words of a day can be related, so the first answer may hint at the next two.
- Every wrong guess costs 50 points, so it is worth thinking before submitting.
- Guesses must be words in the game list; others are refused with the message Palavra não listada.
