Ordvri (Dagbladet)
Dagbladet's Norwegian take on Wordle: one five-letter word a day, six guesses.
Every day: One Norwegian five-letter word per day, the same for every player, guessed in six tries. New puzzle: Midnight local time.

Ordvri is the Wordle-style word game on Dagbladet's games page. Each day there is one Norwegian five-letter word to find in six guesses, with coloured tiles telling you which letters are right, misplaced or missing.
About Ordvri (Dagbladet)
Ordvri is the headline game of Dagbladet Spill, the games section of the Oslo tabloid Dagbladet, where it sits alongside crosswords, sudoku, K-doku and a word hunt. The game itself runs on the PuzzlePlayz platform and is embedded in the Dagbladet page.
A day's puzzle is a single Norwegian word of five letters. You type a guess, press enter, and the tiles turn green for a letter in the right place, yellow for a letter in the word but elsewhere, and dark for a letter that is not there. The on-screen keyboard keeps track of letters you have ruled out, and you have six guesses in total.
The word is picked from a fixed list by the date, so everyone playing on the same day is working on the same word, and statistics such as streaks and guess distribution build up over time. Words from Norwegian dictionaries count as valid guesses as long as they use only A to Å, which makes it a good fit for Norwegian speakers and learners who want a short daily puzzle.
How to play Ordvri (Dagbladet)
- Type a valid Norwegian five-letter word and press enter.
- Green means the letter is correct and in the right place, yellow means it is in the word but elsewhere, dark means it is not in the word.
- Use the clues to narrow down the answer and solve it within six guesses.
- Return the next day for a new word.
Tips
- Guesses with spaces, special characters or accents such as é or ü are not accepted.
- Check the keyboard colours before each guess so you do not reuse letters that are already ruled out.
- Keep æ, ø and å in mind when the common vowels are used up.
