Muros is an iPhone version of the logic puzzle Tapa. Numbers in the grid give the lengths of the shaded groups around them, and you work out which cells to shade so the walls join into one piece. Each day brings a 15x15 Daily Puzzle that is the same for every player.

About Muros

Muros is built on Tapa, a shading puzzle. Clue cells hold one or more numbers, and each number is the length of a run of shaded cells among the eight squares around that clue. Your job is to decide which cells to fill. Three rules hold: the shaded cells around each clue must match its numbers exactly, all shaded cells must join into one continuous wall, and no 2x2 block may be completely shaded. Every puzzle has exactly one solution and never needs a guess.

The Daily Puzzle is a fresh 15x15 grid every day, the same for every player, so you can compare times with friends. Solving it day after day builds a streak.

Outside the daily there is an Adventure of hand-made levels arranged in chapters, starting with small 5x5 grids and growing to large boards, with up to three stars a level. Free Play generates endless puzzles at easy, medium, hard and expert sizes from 5x5 to 15x15. You tap to cycle a cell or drag across the board to shade and clear quickly, and the puzzle screen has a timer, hints, undo and a clear button.

Muros comes from Ravenhold LLC and came out in April 2026. It suits players of nonograms, nurikabe, slitherlink and minesweeper who like a long, careful solve.

How to play Muros

  1. Open the Daily Puzzle from the main menu.
  2. Read each clue: its numbers are the lengths of the shaded runs in the eight cells around it.
  3. Shade or clear cells by tapping, or drag across the board to do several at once.
  4. Keep all shaded cells joined in one wall and never fill a whole 2x2 block.
  5. Finish the grid to log your time and extend your streak.

Tips

  • A clue of 8 shades all its neighbours; start there.
  • Several numbers in one clue mean separate runs with gaps between them, which fixes some cells as empty.
  • Watch for 2x2 blocks with three shaded cells: the fourth must stay empty.
  • An empty pocket that would cut the wall in two tells you which cells must be shaded to keep it joined.
