Marathondle is a daily guessing game for Bungie's Marathon. Daily Weapon compares each guess on category, rarity, ammo type, fire mode and fire type, and Daily Core shows an ability description and asks which core it belongs to and which runner uses it, with five chances for each.
About Marathondle
Marathondle is a fan-made daily guessing game based on Marathon, Bungie's sci-fi shooter. It has two separate puzzles each day, the same for everyone: a Daily Weapon and a Daily Core.
In Daily Weapon you name the weapon of the day. Each guess is compared with the answer across its category, rarity, ammo type, fire mode and fire type, and the matching fields point you toward the right gun. You have five chances.
In Daily Core the game shows an ability description and asks which core it belongs to, and which runner uses it. You again have five chances, reasoning from the text of the ability toward the right core and character.
It is a fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Bungie, and carries a Buy me a coffee link to support it. It suits Marathon players who know the game's weapons, cores and runners and want a short daily test of that knowledge.
How to play Marathondle
- From the home page, choose Daily Weapon or Daily Core.
- For Daily Weapon, guess a weapon; each guess is compared on category, rarity, ammo type, fire mode and fire type.
- For Daily Core, read the ability description and name the core it belongs to and the runner who uses it.
- Use the matches and mismatches from each guess to narrow down the answer.
- Solve each puzzle within five chances; come back the next day for new ones.
Tips
- In Daily Weapon, lock down the category and ammo type first: they split the weapon pool fastest.
- Rarity and fire mode often go together, so a match on one hints at the other.
- In Daily Core, match the ability wording to a runner's known playstyle before committing a guess.
