MapleWordle is a daily guessing game for MapleStory by MorningLit. Classic mode asks for the day's monster and Weapon mode for the day's weapon, both found from clues on each guess, while other modes show a monster's image, a class skill or a town's background music to name.

About MapleWordle

MapleWordle is a daily guessing game for fans of MapleStory, made by MorningLit and themed around the pre-Big Bang era of the game. Instead of one puzzle it offers several daily modes, each with its own answer that is the same for every player and resets each day.

The two main modes work like the attribute guessing games in the Wordle family. Classic mode hides the day's monster: you name monsters and each guess tells you how it compares with the answer on traits such as its stats or where it appears, so you close in over several tries. Weapon mode does the same for the day's weapon. Alongside them are three recognition modes: Image mode shows a zoomed or partial picture of a monster to name, Skill mode shows a class skill icon, and Music mode plays a town's background music for you to identify.

The site also has a Town Playlist and a BGM Playlist for listening to the game's music, plus an about page, patch notes and a Ko-fi link to support the maker. It is free to play in the browser, and it draws on deep MapleStory knowledge rather than being a general trivia game.

It suits MapleStory players, especially those who know the older version of the game, and anyone who likes a set of short daily guessing puzzles about one world.

How to play MapleWordle

  1. Open MapleWordle and pick a mode: Classic (monster), Weapon, Image, Skill or Music.
  2. In Classic or Weapon mode, type a monster or weapon and read how each guess compares with the day's answer.
  3. Use the matching and non-matching traits to narrow your next guess.
  4. In Image, Skill or Music mode, name the monster, class skill or town from the picture or the background music.
  5. Come back each day for a fresh answer in every mode.

Tips

  • Start Classic and Weapon modes with well known entries to pin down the broad traits quickly.
  • For Music mode, listen for the town theme's instrument and mood, which often point to a specific region.
  • Skill and Image modes reward knowing the older sprite art and class skills, so lean on your MapleStory memory.
  • Each mode is separate, so a hard day in one does not block the others.
