Kyou no Tower (きょうのタワー)
Tap to drop each sliding block onto the tower; one try a day, the same blocks for everyone.
Every day: One numbered tower a day (day 1 was 1 January 2026): every player gets exactly the same blocks, speed and rhythm, and the daily allows a single attempt. New puzzle: Midnight Japan time (15:00 UTC).

Kyou no Tower (Today's Tower) is a one-button stacking game. A block slides back and forth and you tap to drop it on the tower; whatever hangs over the edge is cut off, so the tower narrows unless you land it exactly. The daily run gives everyone the same blocks and allows one attempt.
About Kyou no Tower (きょうのタワー)
Kyou no Tower is a small browser game by ushimitsudo, written in simple Japanese with an English summary on its itch.io page. It is the familiar stacking game: a block moves across the top of the tower, you tap to drop it, and any part that overhangs the block below falls away. The next block is only as wide as what was left, so mistakes add up. A perfect drop keeps the full width and even wins a little back.
The daily is the point of the game. The block order, speed and movement are generated from the date in Japan time, numbered from day 1 on 1 January 2026, so everyone who plays on the same day faces exactly the same tower. The maker's point is that this takes luck out of the comparison: two scores on the same day differ only by skill. You get one attempt at the daily and no retries.
When the run ends, a spoiler-free emoji result is copied for you to paste on X, LINE or anywhere else, and the game records how many days in a row you have played. A practice mode gives unlimited extra runs when one is not enough. All sound is synthesised in the browser, and it works on phones.
How to play Kyou no Tower (きょうのタワー)
- Open the itch.io page and start today's tower.
- Watch the block sliding above the tower and tap to drop it.
- Any part hanging past the block below is cut off, and the next block is that much narrower.
- Land blocks exactly in place to keep the tower wide, and stack as high as you can.
- When the tower ends, copy the emoji result to share; use practice mode for more runs.
Tips
- Use practice mode first to learn the rhythm, since the daily allows only one attempt.
- Tap on the block's position, not its speed: watch the edge line up with the edge below.
- A perfect drop earns some width back, so it is worth slowing your taps to aim for them.
