Jingle Shower how-to-play card: hear a raindrop, guess a note such as A sharp, build a streak

Jingle Shower is a free daily ear training game from the Daily Jingle suite. Each day 15 notes fall one at a time as raindrops; you hear each one and press the matching note on a twelve-key chromatic keyboard before it hits the bottom. Find all 15, keep a streak going and earn up to three badges for the day.

About Jingle Shower

Jingle Shower is a small daily game for practising pitch recognition, made as a companion to Daily Jingle, the five-note melody puzzle at dailyjingle.me. Where Daily Jingle asks you to work out a short tune with Wordle-style colours, Jingle Shower drills single notes one after another.

Each day the game builds a set of 15 notes from the date, so every player hears the same shower. A note sounds and appears as a raindrop falling down the screen. You answer on a chromatic keyboard of twelve notes, C to B with the sharps, and a correct guess reveals the drop. A drop that reaches the bottom unanswered counts as a miss. The longer your streak of right answers, the faster the drops fall. You can replay the last note you heard, and you can play the day's shower again; your stats track every attempt.

Three badges mark a good day: the Cloud badge for finding all the notes, the Rain badge for a streak of six or more, and the Lightning badge for getting every note right. The game runs in the browser with no account, and a new shower starts at midnight on your device's clock. It suits musicians and learners who want a short daily drill rather than a guessing puzzle.

How to play Jingle Shower

  1. Open shower.dailyjingle.me, turn your sound on and use the sound check to hear a C.
  2. Start the shower and listen to the first raindrop as it falls.
  3. Press the note you heard on the twelve-key keyboard before the drop reaches the bottom.
  4. Keep naming notes to build a streak; drops fall faster as it grows.
  5. Find all 15 notes, check your badges and stats, and share or try again.

Tips

  • Use the replay button on the last note instead of guessing when you are unsure.
  • Anchor on the sound check C and count up or down from it until you know the notes by ear.
  • Accuracy earns the Lightning badge, so a slower, careful run can beat a rushed one.
  • Check that your phone is not on silent before you start; the game needs sound.

Questions

When does Jingle Shower reset?

At midnight on your own device's clock. The day's notes are worked out from the date, so everyone gets the same 15 notes on the same day.

Is Jingle Shower free?

Yes. It runs in the browser with no account.

Do I need perfect pitch?

No. You can replay the last note and use the sound check C as a reference, so relative pitch is enough to get started.

How is it different from Daily Jingle?

Daily Jingle asks you to find a five-note melody in five tries with coloured hints. Jingle Shower plays 15 single notes one by one and tests how fast and accurately you name each.
