Hsmdle

About Hsmdle

Hsmdle comes from the makers of Mousdle and Pixadle and calls itself the daily High School Musical guessing challenge. Its board is set on a theatre stage with a marquee-lit title, and the cast is drawn from East High and the films that followed.

In Classic mode you search for a character by name, and each guess is compared with the day's answer trait by trait, so the field narrows with every try. The Emoji mode asks you to read a character from a set of emojis, the Silhouette mode shows an outline, and the Song mode asks you to name a song from the films, which suits a franchise built on its musical numbers.

It is free in the browser with no account. It suits fans of the films who want a short daily quiz, with Mousdle and Pixadle for the wider Disney and Pixar casts.

How to play Hsmdle

1. Open Hsmdle and choose a mode, such as Classic.
2. Type a High School Musical character's name and pick one from the list.
3. Read the clues that come back: which traits of your guess match the day's character.
4. Keep guessing until you find the character, then try the Emoji, Silhouette and Song modes.

Tips

• Start with a main character to learn the film and group clues early.
• The Song mode rewards knowing which character sings which number.
• Side characters from the later films are fair game.
