Guess That Frame is a daily movie game for iPhone and the web. Each day one film is picked for everyone and you see a single frame from it; each wrong guess reveals another, up to six. Past days wait in an archive.

About Guess That Frame - Movies

The game opens on one still from the day's film, which might be a wide landscape, a single object or a silhouette. You type a title, and loose matching means you do not need the exact full name. A miss reveals the next frame, and from the third attempt on the web version also starts to show the release year and the lead cast. After six misses the answer is shown.

The film changes for everyone at midnight UTC. Results share as a grid of hits and misses, a streak counter tracks how many films in a row you have named, and the archive lists every earlier day by date so you can catch up on ones you missed. The game needs no account and keeps your stats on your device.

Guess That Frame is made by Fernando Merino and came to the App Store in July 2026. In the app it is titled Movie Frame, and the same game runs in the browser under the Guess · The Thing name, where a song game and a video game version are listed as coming soon. It plays the same way as Framed and suits anyone who likes naming films from a single shot.

Tips

  • Early frames are often details or landscapes: think about the colour grading and setting before guessing the obvious film.
  • A wrong guess still helps, so guess a plausible title rather than skipping.
  • On the web, the release year and cast appear from the third attempt, which narrows things down quickly.
