GeoMontagem on O GloboO Globo Jogos

Photo used for the medium puzzle on 2 October 2026: the glass dome and indoor waterfall of Jewel Changi in Singapore

GeoMontagem is O Globo's daily picture-assembly game. Each day there are three photos of places around the world, cut into grids of pieces from easy to hard, and you rebuild the picture to reveal the place along with a short note about it. A move counter keeps score, and a date bar lets you go back to recent days.

About GeoMontagem (O Globo)

GeoMontagem appears on O Globo Jogos, the games page of the Rio de Janeiro daily, with a one-line pitch: put the pieces together and discover the hidden place. It runs on the Agilmente puzzle platform, which also supplies the paper's Circuitos, crossword and spot-the-difference game.

Each difficulty has its own photo for each date. On 2 October 2026 the medium puzzle was the Jewel Changi complex at Singapore's airport, with its indoor waterfall, while the easy one showed Rio de Janeiro and the hard one Prague. The grids get finer as the level rises: on 1 October the easy board was 8 by 11 pieces, the medium 11 by 14 and the hard 12 by 16. Everyone who opens the game on the same day gets the same three pictures.

You move pieces until the photo is whole, while the game counts your moves. When you finish, it names the place and shows a short paragraph in Portuguese about it, so each puzzle doubles as a small travel postcard. The date bar holds recent weeks of puzzles. O Globo's site shows subscription offers while you browse.

It suits players who enjoy jigsaws and travel photos and want something calm and visual; you can play without reading Portuguese, though the closing notes are in Portuguese.

Tips

  • Start with the corners and the edges of the photo.
  • Use strong lines, such as horizons and building edges, to line up neighbouring pieces.
  • Plan a few moves ahead to keep the move count low.
  • Warm up on Fácil: it has fewer, larger pieces.
