Eric's Ultimate Puzzles is an iPhone and iPad app with five puzzles that refresh every day at midnight. Four are original word puzzles by Aaron Weissblum and David Arnott; the fifth is the logic grid Nurikabe. Each day's puzzles are dated and credited, and a calendar lets you see which days you have played.
About Eric's Ultimate Puzzles
Eric's Ultimate Puzzles comes from Eric Snider, whose Sniderware studio also makes Eric's Sudoku and Eric's Word Search. It reached the App Store in January 2026 and gathers a set of short daily puzzles in one place.
Lexodus gives you clues and a grid of letters: find the answers, swipe them out of the grid and clear the board. Words of a Feather is a code puzzle in which letters hide behind symbols. Noodle Doodle shows a drawing and asks for its caption, letter by letter, with every wrong guess costing a noodle. Sort it Out has you sort words into their hidden groups before your juice runs out, and Nurikabe asks you to build numbered islands so the sea stays connected.
Every day at midnight brings a new dated puzzle in each game, credited to its setter. Hints and coins help when you are stuck, and a calendar shows the days you have solved. The app is free with ads; a subscription removes them, opens the next day's puzzles at 8pm and unlocks every past day and extra puzzle packs.
It suits players who like a small daily mix of word and logic puzzles rather than one game.
How to play Eric's Ultimate Puzzles
- Open the app and pick one of the five games from the menu.
- Play today's dated puzzle: solve the clues in Lexodus, crack the symbol code, guess the caption, sort the groups or build the Nurikabe islands.
- Use a hint or coins if you are stuck.
- Come back after midnight for the next day's set, and use the calendar to see the days you have played.

Tips
- In Lexodus, clear short answers first: the letters left over make the long ones easier to see.
- In Sort it Out, hold back on a group until you can name all four of its words.
- In Nurikabe, mark the squares no island can reach as sea first.
