Drug or Demon
Rate itFive names a day: is each one a prescription drug or a demon?
Every day: Five new names a day, the same for every player: for each one you choose whether it is a prescription drug or a demon, with one guess per name. New puzzle: Midnight Eastern Time.

Drug or Demon is a small daily quiz that shows you five odd-sounding names, one at a time. For each you choose Drug or Demon, then see the answer, a short note on what the name really is and a link to its source. The daily set needs no account, and Endless and Survival modes are there for more.
About Drug or Demon
Drug or Demon plays on how strange the names of medicines and of folklore demons can sound side by side. Each day the site picks five names, the same for everyone, and shows them one at a time in large letters with the line "Just the name. Trust your ear." You press Drug or Demon, and there are no take-backs.
After each guess a card reveals the answer and explains it in a sentence or two: what the drug is used for, or where the demon comes from. Each card has a Check the source link; drug notes are drawn from U.S. Food and Drug Administration and DailyMed prescribing information. A strip at the top tracks your run across the five names, and a list below keeps each name with its answer. There is no timer.
Besides the daily set there is an Endless mode for practice and a Survival mode; the site's terms say continued Survival play and saved statistics need a sign-in, while the daily challenge plays without one. A new set arrives at midnight Eastern, with a countdown on the page.
It suits anyone who likes a quick daily quiz with a joke at its heart, and players who enjoy the alive-or-dead and real-or-fake style of daily guessing games. The site notes that its drug facts are for game context, not medical advice.

Tips
- Drug names often end in brand-like syllables such as -ex, -ol or -ine, but the game picks names that break that habit, so read the reveal notes to learn the oddities.
- Demon names from older texts often sound Latin or Hebrew; many are drawn from grimoires and folklore collections.
- Once the daily five are done, use Endless mode to practise without affecting your daily score.
