Crawlerdle puzzle #200: the character guess box above a key to the green, yellow and grey clue colours and the book arrows

Crawlerdle is a daily guessing game for readers of Matt Dinniman's Dungeon Crawler Carl. Guess any character from the books and each row shows how its race, role, class, origin, affiliation and book compare with the day's mystery character.

About Crawlerdle

Crawlerdle is a fan-made daily game built on the Dungeon Crawler Carl novels, the LitRPG series by Matt Dinniman about Carl, his cat Princess Donut and the deadly alien-run dungeon that has consumed Earth. Each day it picks one character from its list of 84, from Carl, Donut, Mordecai, Mongo and Katia to Odette, Hekla and Prepotente, and you work out who it is.

You type a character's name and pick it from the list. Your guess becomes a row of clues: original race, role, class, origin, affiliation, the book they first appear in, and a tidbit. Green is an exact match, yellow a partial match, grey no match, and arrows on the book column say whether the answer first appears in an earlier or later book.

The puzzle is numbered (#200 on 6 October 2026) and is the same for every player, with a new character at midnight UTC and a countdown on the page. A spoiler warning greets new players, since characters reach into the later books. Your result can be shared, and stats track your streak. Besides the daily puzzle there is a Bonus Floor mode with random characters for unlimited practice.

The site says it is free, with no ads and no sign-up, and that the characters belong to Matt Dinniman. It suits readers who have finished the series; anyone partway through will meet names from books they have not reached.

How to play Crawlerdle

  1. Tap the guess box and type the name of any Dungeon Crawler Carl character, then pick it from the list.
  2. Read the row of clues: green is an exact match, yellow partial, grey no match.
  3. Use the arrow on the book column to tell whether the answer first appears earlier or later in the series.
  4. Guess again with a character who fits what you have learned, until you name the mystery character.
  5. Share your result, or play Bonus Floor for random practice rounds.

Tips

  • Open with a character from the middle of the series so the book arrow halves the field.
  • Race and role settle a lot at once: a green race usually leaves only a handful of names.
  • Affiliation is a quick way to split the cast into the groups characters belong to.
  • Practise in Bonus Floor to learn the full cast of 84 before chasing a streak.
