Bean Sort is CoffeeFirst's daily colour sorting puzzle. You move beans from tube to tube, only onto a matching colour or an empty tube, until every tube is one colour; your time goes on the day's leaderboard.

About Bean Sort

Bean Sort is the coffee-themed take on the ball-sort puzzle, one of the daily games on CoffeeFirst.games. Each day has one numbered puzzle, the same for every player; number 265 fell on 2 October 2026. The board is a row of tubes holding coffee beans in mixed colours.

You tap a tube to pick up the beans on top and tap another to drop them. A drop is only allowed onto a bean of the same colour or into an empty tube, so the order of moves matters and an empty tube is your most useful tool. The puzzle is done when every tube holds a single colour.

Your solve time is your score on the daily leaderboard, and earlier puzzles are in the archive. It is a short, calm puzzle that suits a coffee break, and players of mobile sort games will find a fixed daily board with a time to beat.

How to play Bean Sort

  1. Open Bean Sort and look at the tubes of mixed beans.
  2. Tap a tube to pick up its top beans, then tap another tube to drop them.
  3. Drop only onto a matching colour or into an empty tube.
  4. Keep going until each tube holds one colour, as fast as you can.

Tips

  • Keep a tube empty as long as you can; it is the only place any colour can go.
  • Plan two or three moves ahead before you lift a stack.
  • Finish colours that are nearly complete first to free up space.
