Zip Blitz is a daily general knowledge quiz for iPhone. Each day's Blitz has five rounds of ten multiple-choice questions, each round harder than the last, with 15 seconds per question and more points for faster answers. Everyone gets the same questions on the same day; the two hardest rounds need a Plus subscription.

About Zip Blitz

Zip Blitz is a trivia ladder. The day's Blitz starts with the Opener and climbs through five rounds of ten questions, the last of them called Brutal. Each question is multiple choice with four answers and a 15-second clock, and the faster you answer the more you score, up to ten points a question. The Today card shows your running total, a word for how it is going and how many rounds are left, with your scores for the previous days listed below.

Everyone gets the same questions on the same day, so a score means the same for all players. You can post it to the leaderboard, challenge a friend directly, and after playing review every question and compare your answers with friends'. Playing every day keeps a streak.

There is more around the daily: Topics such as countries, the periodic table, space or world leaders, each with its own ranking; leagues for an office, a pub quiz team or a family; and live multiplayer quizzes with up to five friends at once.

Zip Blitz is made by Modern Labs LTD in London and came out on the App Store in June 2026. It is free to play. Zip Blitz Plus, a weekly or annual subscription, unlocks the two toughest daily rounds, Hard and Brutal, the archive of past days and two streak freezes a week. It suits quiz fans who like speed to count.

How to play Zip Blitz

  1. Open the Daily tab and start today's Blitz with the Opener round.
  2. Answer each multiple-choice question within 15 seconds; faster answers score more.
  3. Move up through the rounds as they get harder (Hard and Brutal need Plus).
  4. Post your score to the leaderboard or challenge a friend.
  5. Review the answers, compare with friends, and come back the next day.

Tips

  • Read all four answers before tapping: one obviously wrong option often narrows it quickly.
  • Speed earns points, but a wrong answer scores nothing, so take a second on the harder rounds.
  • Play the early rounds in one sitting to keep your rhythm.
  • Use Topics to brush up on the subjects that cost you points in the daily.
