About Wordscapes (Daily Puzzle)

Wordscapes is a letter-wheel crossword game for iPhone, iPad and Android, released by PeopleFun in 2017. Each level gives you a handful of letters in a circle and an empty crossword-style grid; you connect letters by swiping to spell words, and each correct word drops into its place in the grid. Extra valid words that are not in the grid count as bonus words.

Alongside its main run of more than 6,000 levels set against landscape backgrounds, the app has a Daily Puzzle. It is a single board per calendar date, shared by every player, which is why fan answer sites list the Daily Puzzle words day by day. On 2 October 2026, for example, the board used the letters of JOURNAL and asked for 12 words.

A day's puzzle takes a few minutes: spot the longest word that uses every letter, fill in the short three- and four-letter words, and use the shuffle button to see the letters in a new order when you get stuck. Hints reveal letters if you need them.

Wordscapes suits players who like anagrams and gentle crosswords without a timer. It is free to play with ads and optional purchases, and has no web version.

How to play Wordscapes (Daily Puzzle)

1. Open the Wordscapes app and tap the Daily Puzzle.
2. Swipe across letters on the wheel to spell a word, then lift your finger to submit it.
3. Watch correct words drop into the crossword grid.
4. Use shuffle to rearrange the wheel when you run out of ideas.
5. Fill every space in the grid to complete the day's puzzle.

Tips

• Look for the word that uses all the letters first; it often unlocks the longest slot.
• Try adding S or ED style endings to words you already found.
• Bonus words do not fill the grid but still count, so enter every word you see.
