Wordfall
Trace words on a 5x5 board, let the letters fall, and clear every tile.
Every day: One 5x5 letter board a day for everyone: trace words to clear it, with letters falling into the gaps, and a hidden golden bonus word. New puzzle: At midnight UTC.

Wordfall is a free daily word puzzle on a 5x5 grid of letters. You trace words through touching tiles, the used letters vanish and the ones above drop down, and the aim is to clear the whole board. Golden tiles hide a bonus word that earns a seventh star if you save it for last.
About Wordfall
Wordfall mixes a word search with falling tiles. Each day at midnight UTC a new 5x5 board appears, the same for every player and rated Easy, Medium or Hard. You connect neighbouring letters to make words of three letters or more, and when a word is accepted its tiles disappear and the letters above fall into the empty spaces.
Every daily board is built so that it can be cleared completely with the right order of words. That order is the real puzzle: a word that looks good now can strand letters at the bottom that no longer spell anything.
Scoring is in stars. Clearing the whole board earns six, one row or less left earns five, and less complete boards earn one to four. Hints are available but each one costs a star. A few golden tiles spell a secret bonus word; keep it for your final word to earn a seventh star and a place in the 7 Club leaderboard.
Wordfall suits Boggle and word search fans who like a bit of planning. It is free with no ads, has date navigation for past puzzles, shows the best solution once you finish, and offers an Unlimited mode with 5x5, 6x6 and 7x7 boards.
How to play Wordfall
- Open play-wordfall.com to load today's 5x5 board.
- Drag across touching letters, or type, to spell a word of three or more letters.
- Submit the word; its tiles vanish and the letters above fall down.
- Keep finding words until the board is clear or you run out of options.
- Save the golden tiles' word for last to earn the seventh star.
Tips
- Look at the bottom row early; letters there have nowhere to fall and are the hardest to clear.
- Avoid leaving lone consonants with no vowels nearby.
- Spot the golden letters at the start and plan to keep them together.
