Word Slicer
Rate itSlide five letter columns to line up the day's five hidden five-letter words.
Every day: One Daily Slicer a day for everyone: five columns of letters to slide up and down until five hidden five-letter words, one at a time, line up under the blue slicer. New puzzle: Once a day.

Word Slicer is a daily word puzzle with five columns of letters and a blue bar across them. You slide the columns so one letter from each sits under the bar, then press Slice: green means you have found one of the five hidden words. Its motto is 5 letters, 5 words, 5 minutes.
About Word Slicer
Word Slicer's board is five vertical strips of letters, each a different length, with a blue Slicer running across the middle. On a phone you swipe the strips up and down; on a computer you click a letter to bring it to the bar or drag the column. When five letters under the bar spell a word, you press Slice. If the Slicer turns green, you have found one of the day's five hidden words; if it turns red, that is not one of them.
Letters are not used up, so the same letters can appear in several of the hidden words. The answers are everyday dictionary words: common nouns, verbs in their base form and adjectives, with no proper nouns, abbreviations or plurals. Finding all five completes the puzzle.
The Daily Slicer is the same for everyone. Joining tracks your streak through the week, and badges, a leaderboard and an archive of past puzzles sit on the home page. The game can be played in more than one language, chosen with the flag at the top.

Tips
- Start with the short columns: they have fewer letters, so fewer choices.
- Remember letters are reused, so a letter in one word can appear in another.
- Skip plurals and names: the hidden words are base dictionary forms.
- Look for common endings on the last column, such as E, Y or T.
