Scorewit Footyphoria is a daily Premier League trivia game: six questions a day, the same for everyone, drawn from every season since 1992-93. Some are multiple choice and some ask for a number, with partial points for a close guess. Every fact is computed from open match data and checked by a separate program.

About Scorewit Footyphoria

Scorewit is a site of seven daily sports trivia games, and Footyphoria is its English football edition. Each day it serves six questions about the Premier League, from the current season back to the first one in 1992-93. Typical questions ask who finished second in a given season, by how many points a title was won, or how many goals were scored in a season's highest-scoring match.

Questions come in two types. Multiple choice questions are worth 100 points for the right answer. Closest guess questions ask for a number, and you get full points within a set margin and fewer the further off you are. Six questions make a maximum of 600 points, and the result can be shared without spoilers along with a daily streak.

Scorewit's rule is that every fact is computed from open match data or not said at all. A generator derives the questions and answers from match records, here the openfootball England dataset, and an independent checker re-derives each claim; if they disagree, the site does not publish. Each answer links to its source, and the data is refreshed weekly.

There are no accounts, no cookies and no tracking. Besides the daily, there is a practice mode and a My Club view, and the same site runs daily games for the World Cup, Formula 1, cricket, the IPL, the NFL and baseball.

How to play Scorewit Footyphoria

  1. Open Scorewit Footyphoria and start the daily round.
  2. Answer each of the six questions: pick an option for multiple choice, or enter a number for closest guess questions.
  3. Read the answer and its source after each question.
  4. See your score out of 600, share it and keep your daily streak going.

Tips

  • On number questions a close guess still scores, so always give your best estimate.
  • Remember seasons before 1995-96 had 22 teams and 462 matches, which changes goal and point totals.
  • Title margins and runner-up points come up often: it pays to know the big title races.
  • Use the practice mode to learn which kinds of questions the game likes to ask.
