Quick Quiz for 3 October 2026: question 1 asks which French author wrote Around The World In Eighty Days, with the answers Gustave Flaubert, Jules Verne and Alexandre Dumas, a timer and a first tip

Quick Quiz is the Daily Mail's shortest daily quiz: five general-knowledge questions, each with three answers to choose from. It mixes books, music, history, sport and geography, and takes a minute or two.

About Quick Quiz (Daily Mail)

Quick Quiz is the entry-level quiz on the Daily Mail games page, where its card line reads not as easy as it sounds and the game itself calls it the fastest way to test your knowledge. The Mail's own puzzle feed rates it Elementary, against Challenging for Master Quiz.

Each day has five questions with three answers each. The 3 October 2026 set started with which French author wrote Around The World In Eighty Days, then moved through a 1980s English singer-songwriter, the World Rally Championship, the Magyar language and a 19th-century British prime minister. Pick an answer and its question number turns green if right or red if wrong; tap a red number to try again. Options shows the solution or resets the quiz, and a clock times you.

The set is dated and the same for every reader in the edition. The UK edition changes at midnight UK time, and US readers get Quick Quiz US on New York time with its own questions. It is free in the browser with ads on the main site, and works well as a warm-up before Master Quiz or Mindbender.

How to play Quick Quiz (Daily Mail)

  5. Answer all five and check your time.
