Master Quiz is the hardest of the Daily Mail's daily quizzes: six general-knowledge questions, each with three answers to pick from. Questions reach into literature, film, history and British trivia, and a new set comes every day.
About Master Quiz (Daily Mail)
Master Quiz is one of four quizzes on the Daily Mail games page, next to Quick Quiz, Mindbender and The Pub Quiz. Its card says test your general knowledge, and it is the one aimed at people who like a challenge: the 3 October 2026 set asked which term attributed to Gertrude Stein describes the expatriate American writers of the 1920s, which was the first new town built in England after the Second World War, and who wrote Le Morte D'Arthur.
Each day has six questions with three options each. Pick an answer and its number in the bar at the top turns green if you are right or red if you are wrong. A wrong answer is not final: tap the question number to go back and try again. Options can show the solution or reset the quiz, and a clock times you.
The set is dated and the same for every reader in the edition. The UK edition changes at midnight UK time; readers in the US are sent to MasterQuiz US, which follows New York time and has its own questions. The quiz is free in the browser with ads on the main site, and the Mail's puzzle feed has kept a dated set for every day since November 2024.

Tips
- With three options, ruling out one that is clearly wrong gives you even odds on the rest.
- Questions often mix eras and subjects, so a guess from a date or a place name can be enough.
- If you got one wrong, go back to it before checking the solution: you still have two options left.
- If you want something lighter first, Quick Quiz uses the same format with easier questions.
