PokédlePlus is a fan-made set of Pokémon guessing games covering every generation. Its four daily modes ask you to find the mystery Pokémon from a table of clues, from emoji, and from a rotated, zoomed-in silhouette, and to identify the move of the day from its type, class, power and accuracy.
About PokédlePlus
PokédlePlus is one of the Pokémon -dle sites, set apart by a daily move puzzle alongside the usual Pokémon ones. In Classic mode you type a Pokémon and its properties are marked green for a match and red for none, with yellow when one of two types matches and arrows for generation, height and weight, so you can home in on the day's answer.
Emoji mode shows a set of emoji describing the Pokémon and unlocks clue cards on habitat, evolution, biology, a unique trait and types as you guess. Image mode, called Zoom on the menu, shows the official artwork as a black silhouette, rotated and zoomed right in, pulling back with each wrong guess. Moves mode is for battlers: the day's secret is an attack, and its type, damage class, accuracy and power are revealed as you guess.
The four daily puzzles follow the UTC date, so everyone gets the same ones. Two more modes are unlimited rather than daily: Cry, where you pick which of two Pokémon made a sound, and Stats, a higher-or-lower game on base stats played for a high score.
It is not sponsored by Nintendo. It suits players who know both the Pokédex and competitive movesets.
How to play PokédlePlus
- Open PokédlePlus and pick a daily mode: Classic, Emoji, Zoom or Moves.
- In Classic, type a Pokémon and read the green, yellow and red cells and the arrows.
- Use each new clue to narrow down the answer.
- Find the Pokémon or move before you run out of attempts.
- Play the other daily modes, then try the unlimited Cry and Stats games.
Tips
- In Classic, a dual-type first guess tests two types at once.
- In Zoom mode the silhouette is rotated, so look for a distinctive edge such as a tail or crest.
- In Moves mode, damage class and type usually cut the list to a handful before power settles it.
