Motcha
One word a day, one letter at a time: type as many words as you can before the clock runs out.
Every day: A word of the day in each language (French, English, Italian and Spanish), the same for every player: play one timed round per letter of it, typing as many words as you can that start with that letter. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Motcha is a fast daily word game in four languages. The day's word is played letter by letter: in each round you type as many valid words as you can that begin with the active letter before the timer ends. Each word is worth a point, and your best scores go on a world leaderboard.
About Motcha
Motcha builds its daily challenge from a single word. Each language, French, English, Italian or Spanish, gets its own word of the day, renewed at midnight UTC, so everyone playing in that language gets the same one. The word is played one letter at a time: each letter is a round, and you must type words that start with it before the clock runs out.
There are three difficulties. Normal gives 60 seconds and accepts words of two letters or more; Difficile asks for at least three letters; Ultra cuts the time and requires five letters with correct accents. Apostrophes, digits and special characters are not allowed, and neither are repeats or the word of the day itself.
Every valid word is worth one point. At the end the game checks your words, locks the score and lets you share or download a result card, and you can post it to the world leaderboard under a nickname. A daily streak counts the days you play. The site is in French by default, with the game also playable in English, Italian and Spanish.
How to play Motcha
- Open Motcha and choose your language and difficulty.
- Press Jouer to start with the first letter of the word of the day.
- Type words that start with the active letter and add each one before the timer ends.
- Move on through every letter of the day's word.
- See your score, publish it to the leaderboard and share your result.
Tips
- Short common words score the same as long ones on Normal, so go for speed.
- Keep a mental list of easy prefixes such as re-, pre- or con- for common letters.
- On Ultra, check accents before you add a word; a missing accent does not count.
