Letter Flick #135 for October 6, 2026: seven letter tiles scattered on a seven by seven grid above an empty six-letter word bar and six undo arrows

Letter Flick is a free daily word physics puzzle. The day's word is scrambled across a grid with one extra letter, and you flick tiles into each other: the tile that gets knocked off goes into the word bar, not the one you flicked. Spell the word in order with six undos, leaving one letter on the board.

About Letter Flick

Letter Flick turns unscrambling a word into a small physics puzzle. Each day the letters of a word, plus one spare, sit on a seven by seven board. You never place a letter directly. Instead you flick one tile toward another, and the tile it hits is knocked off the board and into the next slot of the word bar.

That twist is the whole game. You have to work out the word, then plan which tile to flick at which so the letters leave in the right order, without stranding a letter you still need. The bar gives hints as you go: blue means the right letter in the right place, orange the right letter from the wrong move, and grey that both are wrong. You are done when the bar is all blue and one letter is left behind.

You get six undos and one puzzle a day. A warm-up teaches the flick before the real puzzle, and there are practice puzzles to try any time. It is made by Socially Conscious Software, Jason Mueller and Jeff Bridgham.

It suits players who like anagrams but want a puzzle about order and movement too.

How to play Letter Flick

  1. Open Letter Flick and play the warm-up, or tap to skip it and go to today's puzzle.
  2. Work out the day's word from the scrambled tiles; one tile is extra.
  3. Touch a tile and move toward another tile, then let go to flick it.
  4. The tile that is hit is knocked into the word bar, so plan the order of collisions.
  5. Turn every slot in the bar blue, using up to six undos, and leave one letter on the board.

Tips

  • Work out the word before you flick anything; the order of collisions matters more than speed.
  • Remember it is the struck tile that scores, not the one you move.
  • Find the spare letter early and keep it out of the way, since it is the one left at the end.
