Let 'er Flip is a small daily word game from the indie studio Paeri Games. Each date has its own puzzle of hidden words, which you uncover by flipping letter tiles, and stars earned feed monthly and all-time leaderboards. It runs in the browser on itch.io, with an archive of past days.

About Let 'er Flip

Let 'er Flip shows a row of letter tiles and tells you how many of them need flipping. Flip the right ones and a hidden word appears; a wrong flip turns red. Each puzzle is labelled with its date, and a day holds several words of growing length, scored with up to three stars each.

The game was designed by Pam Walls and developed by Ariane Joy Chennova, who together run the indie studio Paeri Games. It is their first release, built in Unity and published on itch.io, where it plays in the browser.

Everyone gets the same dated puzzle, which is what makes the leaderboards work: stars collected each day count toward a monthly table and an all-time table. You can play as a guest or sign in with Google, which keeps your score safe and opens the archive of earlier puzzles. After finishing, you can share a spoiler-free emoji summary of your flips.

It suits players who like Wordle-sized word games but want a different mechanic, and anyone who enjoys a short, calm puzzle and a monthly ranking to chase.

How to play Let 'er Flip

  1. Open Let 'er Flip on itch.io and choose Play as Guest or sign in with Google.
  2. Look at the date, the length of the current word and the number of letters to flip.
  3. Tap tiles to flip them; a correct flip helps reveal the hidden word, a wrong one turns red.
  4. Find each hidden word of the day to earn up to three stars per word.
  5. Check the leaderboard and share your emoji summary, or open the archive for past puzzles.

Tips

  • Think about which letters would turn the visible row into a real word before you tap.
  • Fewer wrong flips keep more stars, so pause before guessing.
  • Sign in if you want your stars kept between devices and access to the archive.
  • On a phone, type www.leterflip.com into the browser rather than following a link from an app, since the developers say Google sign-in fails inside in-app browsers.
