K-doku is a daily number puzzle on Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet's games portal. The grid is split into outlined cages, each marked with a target and an operation. You fill it with numbers so no row or column repeats and every cage's numbers combine to its target.

About K-doku (Dagbladet)

K-doku is part of Dagbladet's Spill (games) portal, hosted on puzzleplayz.com. It is a cage-arithmetic puzzle in the KenKen style: the grid is divided into outlined groups of cells, and each group shows a target number with an operation, such as 5+, 3× or 4−.

You place numbers so that each row and each column contains every number once, and the numbers in each cage produce the cage's target using its operation. Deduction from small cages and single cells usually opens the grid up.

Each puzzle is dated and labelled with its difficulty (for example Enkel, easy), and an archive lists the previous days so you can catch up. The interface is in Norwegian.

It suits fans of KenKen and killer sudoku who want a daily grid from a Norwegian paper.

How to play K-doku (Dagbladet)

  1. Open the day's dated K-doku.
  2. Read each cage's target and operation.
  3. Fill the grid so no number repeats in a row or column.
  4. Make the numbers in every cage reach its target with the given operation.

Tips

  • Start with single-cell cages, which give a number directly.
  • Large products or sums in small cages narrow the options quickly.
  • Use row and column exclusion to finish cages with two possibilities.
