Jeffgoldblumle

A Wordle joke with a 12-letter answer that is Jeff Goldblum nine times out of ten.

Every day: One 12-letter answer a day, the same for every player and counted from a fixed start date; most days it is JEFFGOLDBLUM, about one day in ten it is another 12-letter word. New puzzle: Midnight in your own time zone (the day number comes from your device's date).

Jeffgoldblumle is a tongue-in-cheek Wordle clone. You have three tries to guess a 12-letter word, and the game tells you openly that nine days out of ten the answer is JEFFGOLDBLUM; on the other days it is some other 12-letter word, and the real puzzle begins.

About Jeffgoldblumle

Jeffgoldblumle is a small fan-made daily word game built as a gag on Wordle and on the actor Jeff Goldblum. Its about page says it aims to be a fun, free and slightly absurd addition to a morning routine; the site states it is not associated with the actor himself.

The board is three rows of twelve tiles. You type a guess and the tiles turn green for a right letter in the right place and yellow for a right letter in the wrong place, as in Wordle. You get three tries. The game tells you up front that the answer is Jeff Goldblum nine days out of ten; on the other days it is some other 12-letter word, which is where the real puzzle is.

There is one answer per day for everyone, picked by counting the days since April 2022, and a countdown shows when the next word arrives. Stats track your streak and guess distribution, and a small payment removes the ads for a year.

How to play Jeffgoldblumle

  1. Open Jeffgoldblumle; the board is three rows of twelve tiles.
  2. Type a 12-letter guess with the on-screen or your own keyboard and press Enter.
  3. Read the colours: green is the right letter in the right spot, yellow is in the word but elsewhere.
  4. Use your three tries to find the day's word, then check your streak in the stats.

Tips

  • Open with JEFFGOLDBLUM: it wins most days, and on the others it tests ten different letters at once.
  • On a non-Goldblum day, try a long word with common endings such as -TION or -MENT for the second guess.
  • Watch the countdown in the stats panel to see when the next word arrives.
