InferIt turns Wordle around. Each puzzle shows several five-letter guesses that have already been made, each with two numbers: how many letters are in the right place and how many are in the word but elsewhere. From those clues you deduce the only word that fits. Daily Play gives everyone the same five puzzles each day, and there are 100 standard puzzles besides.
About InferIt
InferIt is a word deduction game by Charlie Brej for the browser, Android and iPhone. Every puzzle lays out a column of five-letter clue words. Next to each one, a green number counts the letters in the correct position and a red number counts the other letters that appear in the answer but in a different place. There is exactly one word that fits all the clues, and it can be found by logic alone.
To keep track you mark the letters in the clue rows: hide a letter that cannot appear, mark one yellow when it is known to be in the answer, red where it cannot sit, and green when its position is certain. You then build the answer from letters shown in the clues. Optional hints explain the reasoning behind the next deduction, and an optional setting applies the simple markings for you.
Daily Play has five puzzles shared by every player and refreshed each day, with a timer for each puzzle and the total, a daily history, a streak and a result you can share once all five are complete. Standard Play has 100 puzzles that open with guided tutorial levels, and extra packs are sold as one-time purchases in the apps. The Google Play listing says there is no account, advertising or analytics.

Tips
- Start with a clue that has zero in both numbers: every one of its letters can be hidden at once.
- Compare two clues that share letters; differences in their counts often pin down a single letter.
- Use a hint when stuck: it shows the reasoning step rather than just the answer.
Questions
Is InferIt free?
