About Dragonballdle

Dragonballdle follows the pattern of LoLdle and the other character dles, with the cast of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT and Dragon Ball Super. Its list runs from the main fighters such as Goku, Vegeta, Gohan and Piccolo to villains like Frieza, Cell and Majin Buu, gods like Beerus and Whis, and minor tournament characters.

Each guess fills a row with ten columns: the character, gender, species, origin, affiliation, transformation, attributes, deaths, series and saga debut. Each square turns to show whether that attribute matches the day's character, partly matches or does not match, so a Saiyan from Earth with a Super Saiyan form narrows things down fast. After seven tries a silhouette of the character can be revealed as an extra clue.

A new character is picked every 24 hours and is the same for everyone. The game shows who yesterday's character was, and you can switch the interface language from the flag at the top. It is free and carries ads.

How to play Dragonballdle

1. Open dragonballdle.app and type a character's name in the box.
2. Pick the name from the list and submit the guess.
3. Read the row: each attribute shows whether it matches the day's character, partly matches or not.
4. Use the matches to choose the next character, keeping species, origin and series in mind.
5. After seven tries, open the silhouette clue if you need it, and keep guessing until you find the character.

Tips

• Open with a character from a large group, such as a Saiyan or an Earthling, to split the cast quickly.
• Series and saga debut columns tell you which era to look in.
• Partial matches on affiliation or transformation often mean the character switched sides or has several forms.
• Check yesterday's character to get a feel for how obscure the picks can be.
