Desktop Dungeons: Rewind
A ten-minute puzzle roguelike with a new shared dungeon every day.
Every day: A daily online challenge: one generated dungeon a day, the same for every player, to compare against friends. A free Daily Demo on Steam offers only that daily dungeon. New puzzle: Once a day; the game does not state the time.

Desktop Dungeons: Rewind is a remaster of the bite-sized puzzle roguelike where each dungeon fits on one screen and takes about ten minutes. Its daily online challenge gives everyone the same dungeon, and a free Daily Demo lets you play just that.
About Desktop Dungeons: Rewind
Desktop Dungeons began as a small freeware game, won a prize at the Independent Games Festival, and became a commercial release from QCF Design. Desktop Dungeons: Rewind, released in April 2023, is the remaster: new art, all the earlier DLC, and a rewind feature that lets you return to an earlier point in a dungeon after you die.
A dungeon is a single screen of hidden tiles. Exploring a tile is how you heal and regain mana, so uncovered ground is a resource, and every monster shows its level. The game is less about reflexes than arithmetic: which fights you can win now, which need a spell or a god's favour first, and how much unexplored space to keep for later. Between dungeons, gold buys upgrades for your kingdom and unlocks new classes and races.
The daily mode is a daily online challenge, one generated dungeon for everyone, so you can compare runs with friends on the same layout. QCF also put out a free Daily Demo on Steam that contains only the daily dungeon, a good way to try the game. The original Desktop Dungeons still has its own seeded Daily Dungeon too.
It suits players who like Into the Breach or Dicey Dungeons, with the short sessions of a daily puzzle.
How to play Desktop Dungeons: Rewind
- Open the daily challenge from the game, or install the free Daily Demo.

Tips
- Do not explore everything early: unexplored tiles are your healing for the hard fights.
- Fight monsters of your level or lower first to level up, which also fully heals you.
- Read each god's likes and dislikes before you worship; some punish spells or killing certain monsters.
