Daily Gogen
Place letters in a grid so every word on the list can be traced through it.
Every day: Three new Gogen puzzles a day, the same for everyone: an easy 3x3, a medium 4x4 and a classic 5x5 grid, each with a list of words to make traceable. New puzzle: Midnight on your own device's clock (the countdown runs to your local midnight).

Daily Gogen is a web version of the Gogen puzzle. Some letters are already in the grid and the rest wait in a bar above it; you drag them into place so that every word in the day's list can be spelt by moving between touching squares. There are three sizes each day, a timer, and streaks.
About Daily Gogen
Gogen is a letter-placement puzzle: a grid with some letters fixed, a set of loose letters, and a list of words. Each letter appears once in the grid, and every word on the list must be spelt by stepping from one letter to the next through squares that touch, including diagonally. Words rarely run in a straight line, so the puzzle is about working out which letters must sit next to which.
Daily Gogen offers three puzzles a day. Easy uses a 3x3 grid, medium a 4x4, and classic the full 5x5 of the traditional puzzle. You drag letters from the top bar into the empty squares, and when every word on the list can be traced, the timer stops and you can share your time. A hint button helps when you are stuck, and the grid can be cleared to start over.
The puzzles change at midnight, with a countdown to the next one, and the game keeps your current and longest streak. It is built by Swerve Concepts and is also available in German, French, Hungarian and Dutch. It suits players who like logic as much as words, and who find Wordle too quick.
How to play Daily Gogen
- Choose easy (3x3), medium (4x4) or classic (5x5).
- Look at the fixed letters and the list of words you need to make.
- Drag the loose letters from the top bar into the empty squares.
- Make sure every word can be spelt by moving between touching squares, diagonals included.
- When all the words fit, the timer stops; share your time and come back after midnight.
Tips
- Start with letters that appear in many words: they usually belong near the middle.
- A letter with neighbours in several words has few places it can go; place those first.
- Write down which letters each one must touch, then fit the pairs together.
- Use the 3x3 puzzle to learn the rules before trying the 5x5.
